2011 Jewellery Colour Trends For The Fashion Conscious

2011 is turning out to be quite a bold year already. 2011 jewellery colour trends are like a breath of fresh air raising eyebrows in a pleasant way. A lot of new shades are being tried out and the pleasing collage of jewellery that is finding its way to the market is a good direction for jewellery trends to move. 2011 jewellery colour palette includes shades of yellow, grey and brown and is likely to liven up the spring. Amongst the most important colours to make their names already are the Russet, Silver Cloud and the Silver Peony.  These are more like neutral shades whose popularity is largely because they can be mixed and matched with a wide range of other colours.

The rich brown shade of Russet is a perfect match for bone and wood and can look great with beads and earthy jewellery. Smokey quartz is another versatile colour that is coming back in a big way. The darker shades of grey are also quite popular. 2011 jewellery colour trends include shades of silver largely because they aren’t gaudy or shiny and ‘subtle’ are becoming a buzz word these days. The lighter tones of grey are increasing the creativity levels too. They are also good looking, giving out a bright and airy feel. They represent freshness and lightness and match with the skin tones as well.

Honeysuckle and Faberge pink are also part of the 2011 jewellery colour trends adding a healthy glow to the palette. All in all most of the colours picked up this spring are not colours which are loud, bright and dominating. These are colours that are likely to loosen the gemstone world a wee bit pulling out precious diamonds that haven’t seen the light of the day for a while now. The neutral tones are becoming quite popular given that a lot of people want to mix what they wear without sticking to a specific theme. The range of gem stones varies between Golden Topaz and Red Jasper. Natural haematite colours are also being used. Vivid colours like orange are being used by many designers especially those who believe that jewellery should look energetic. The spring will also see some tints of green, something that isn’t really seen much in the winters.
